We had a fantastic weekend away to Mayne recently so the page on Mayne has been updated.
Mayne is a beautiful island; the people are friendly and the community is fun and creative so there’s usually something interesting happening. We were lucky enough to be there for the last concert of the season put on by the Mayne Island Music Society. And we had a really nice water tour with Mayne tours.
This was a great reminder that the islands are great to visit any time of the year!
I have created a new page with tips for finding accommodations. I am sure this page will grow as I think of more things to add. You can find the new page here:
If you have any tips or links for this page, please send me an email!

We took an epic journey across the country by train! I will be posting further details soon.
Had a fantastic quick visit to Mayne this weekend to see my friend, Sarah Hayward perform her play, Stripes: The Mystery Circus to a very engaged and enthusiastic audience. Also checked out the Christmas Art Tour and met many friendly, warm Mayne islander.
Fall is a great time to visit any of the gulf islands; less crowds and there’s still lots to see and do. The islands are beautiful in the fall and the ferry ride can be just as wonderful, just be sure to bundle up!
Thanks to Mayne Island Little Theatre for bringing Sarah to Mayne!
